Well, as of this afternoon, we are officially home owners. Escrow closed yesterday but it then takes a day to record it with the county before it is completely official. We originally were to close on July 2nd. The escrow company the man we bought the house from chose to use was absolutely horrible. They are so slow and because of their slowness, they offered to extend escrow to the 9th. Tristan and i decided we wanted to keep the date the 2nd so we could clean, paint, and have the tile laid before we move. We should of known that when the escrow company suggested the 9th that it would be the day they would decide no matter what we said to get their act together and complete escrow. We signed papers and wired the money on July 1st and it has taken this long for the escrow company to stamp the pages and look over everything. Now we are in a bit of a crunch to get things done before we move in.
I should of known that nothing i plan goes smoothly and now we will be painting and fixing things up while moving in for a while. Oh well, it is do able but i hate when my perfect plans get botched up. I have been at the house almost everyday since last Thursday cleaning. I went back to work yesterday and apparently i looked awful cause even parents of my patient's were asking me if i was ok. I am exhausted and my back is killing me from bending over for the last five days. Tristan has school so he gets out of helping quite a bit. Between packing, cleaning two places, moving, and trying to arrange everything for the construction workers and painting, I have not been able to blog. Just thought i would let everyone know we are still alive. We are moving on Saturday so i probably will be out of the blogging world for another couple of weeks while we get settled in.
